something that need not be actually realized as a property
of x1.

This sounds like an example of using the potential/actual aspect markers. And those markers could not be applicable if only actual/realized properties could be specified.

The classic Loglan/Lojban example is "flammable", which is merely a tendency/proclivity to burn, and not necessarily something that actually will burn.
