The two aspects most relevant to dates have
leftward expansion: numbers (the integer part) and tanru.
Numbers are ordered most significant digit to least
significant digit, with zeroes elided from both ends.
If we were to use leftward expansion for numbers then
{li pareci} would be three hundred and twenty-one.
I think that is what has the most relevance to dates.
The order for numbers is:
.... hundreds, tens, units,., tenths, hundredths ....
with elisions at both ends. It makes a lot of sense to
use the same method for dates because they are exactly
the same type of object in Lojban, a li-sumti.
If we use a tanru to express a date it has to be
something like:
{le 2000moi nanca ke 5moi masti ke 11moi djedi}
There is no way that you can put the year as the tertau to
single out one day.
