I've just created Lojban databases readable in Tomeraider, a Palm and PC
structured document reader.
Tomeraider is available from http://www.tomeraider.com.
The Windows databases end in .tr, and the Palm databases in .pdb.
The files are a rafsi list (rafsi), a cmavo list (cmavo), a cmavo class
list (selmaho), a gismu list ordered by English keyword (gismuE), and a
gismu list ordered in Lojban (gismuL).
The Windows databases have bold and italic, which cannot be displayed by
the Palm.
The gismu lists have hyperlinks to other gismu.
The databases can be downloaded from

I will also be creating a Mac version.

I have been looking for dictionary programs for the Palm that allow
editing dictionaries. This is difficult.
It is easiest with Dictionary (http://www.evolutionary.net/dict-info.htm).
This is why it is used by Klingonists to make a dictionary which is not
inconvenienced by the fact that the Klingon vocabulary is constantly being
added to.
It allows less than 200 letters per entry.
Tomeraider, I am told, is slow because it is not specifically a dictionary
program.
It does not display matching words and word definitions on the same
screen.
Lothar's dictionary did.
I think BDict (http://www.beiks.com) is the best Palm dictionary engine.
It uses a split screen and allows display customisation.
BDict does not allow others to create dictionary files.
But they will convert a file you give them to a dictionary file for free.
I'll wait for some of you to try out Tomeraider before asking them to do
so.
