Prospective Voting Members of LLG?

Since the LLG Annual Meeting is going to be held on line using IRC and 
email next month, LLG voting membership is potentially open to a lot of 
people who might not have considered it possible to participate actively in 
the past.

New members are selected by existing members, and need to have shown 
commitment to the LLG goals, a nebulous standard that may be more 
specifically defined at the upcoming meeting.  They obviously also need to 
be interested in LLG governance matters.  You can see on the website from 
the old minutes what sorts of things this includes.

I am asking that anyone who is not a voting member, who thinks that they 
are likely to attend the initial IRC meeting session next month (June 15, 
6PM-10PM EDT), and who may be interested in becoming a voting member, to 
send me email.  You will be given a copy of the meeting announcement and 
agenda which are about to be sent out, and included in any future mailings 
regarding the meeting.
