I disagree absolutely.  I think the underlying place structure is
essential to correctly understanding the lujvo.  It's been hard enough
to construct definition sentences for the gismu; to hope that we'll
have unambiguous sentences for every lujvo is hopeless.  But if one
can look from the English definition to the underlying skeleton,
one can figure out how best to interpret each place.
