Does "eldern" mean {slabu} or {tolci'o} or {sambuku}? Or even {a'orne la 
negundon} (box elder, which is neither box nor elder)?

I don't know how it was pronounced in Warwickshire when the verse was 
composed, but I'd say {lon.kamptyn}.
