But I do think that "regret" is odd for the
future sense that it would have for a wish. 
There is also the problem of what {aunai} means:
is {aunai A} = {au not-A} or is it {not-au A}
("shun" sorta works for this when {au} is "wish"
-- or even "spurn").  This also seems to be a
matter of presuppositions here: {au A} must in
any case assume that A is not known to hold; does
{aunai A} assume that A does hold or does it
assume that neither A nor not-A is known to hold?
