Re: railgun

Just wondering (nowhere to write, nothing here to call). Is there
a word for railgun yet? Not mentioning the ones in games, but the
real thing.

It would appear that there isn't much of the real thing.

Theory needs words, too! Useless practice even more.

Anyways, I used "xumjimcelxa'i" for "gun" as in "chemical projectile
weapon" in my LNC story.

Hm, what is "jim" for here?

Using a similar construct for railgun gives makyjimcelxa'i, with a
place structure something like:

I think, {makce'a} is enough...
For railgun/coilgun used as weapon, it would be {makcelxa'i}.

$x_1 = c_1$ is a railgun/magnetically launched metal slug throwing
weapon for use against x2 by x3; weapon fires metallic object(s) j1
using magnetic ojbect(s) m1

j2 and m2 are dropped due to being mostly useless.

There is also coilgun that must be differed from railgun, because its
requirements are completely different. People often make coilguns at home, but making a railgun at home is not very wise, because it is dangerous more than useful. You just can't take it outside, I guess. :)

Is there a word for coil or gauss?
