"staci" is not a Lojban word.  Try "tarci".

Either of those seem fine, although I'd probably use "ciste" or
"sarlu", myself, depending on the properties I want to emphasize.

Assuming you are talking about jbovlaste, here are over 8.5 thousand
Lojban words and 9.2 thousand English words in there.  Perhaps it's
because you only look up unusual ones.  "galaxy" isn't a word that
comes up in everyday conversation, you know.
