Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew agree that Monday is the second day, so this can
be taken to be the Yahwist opinion (especially because of the Greek and
Hebrew). Russian considers Tuesday to be second, but Wednesday middle. The
word for Saturday in all these is or is derived from Shabbat. The Russian
words have arbitrary suffixes.

pt: domingo, segunda-feira, terça-feira, quarta-feira, quinta-feira,
sexta-feira, sábado
el: kuriaké, deutera, trité, tetarté, pempté, paraskeué, sabbato
he: yom rishon, yom sheni, yom shlishi, yom rvi`i, yom chamishi, yom shishi,
shabbat
ru: voskresenye, ponedel'nik, vtornik, sreda, chetverg, pyatnitsa, subbota

Galician, however, which is sometimes considered a dialect of Portuguese or
vice versa, uses the Roman gods as do other Romance languages: domingo, luns,
martes, mércores, xoves, venres, sábado.
