I think x3 is the destination address, not the recipient.
Consider letters to Santa Claus or junk mail addressed to
"Occupant": they don't really have recipients.

How would you translate: "I sent God a letter by sticking a note into the Western Wall"? The Wall seems more like the delivery system (x5) than the recipient's address (x3), especially since the recipient is omnipresent, but then where do you stick "la cevni" into the sentence?
