[lojban] x2 of klesi

What kind of sumti can fill x2 place of {klesi}? Definition said like it 
is a superclass of x1. Xorxes (who is much more skilled in lojban than I 
am) uses {klesi be lo birje}, but I doubt this is correct. I believe 
that {lo birje} is "a portion of a beer", not "a beer as a class". Or 
did I misunderstood something?
