There may be a reason for this. Adding a few arbitrary members
of {5, 10, 15, 20, 25} is easier than adding a few arbitrary members
of {1, 2, 3, 4, 5}, because you only have to deal with ones,
twos, and halves.

Adding numbers written in words is even harder. But there's
no reason why playing the game should be made easy. ;)
