Methinks the etymological fallacy has erupted. Lojban is not obliged to loan translate just because other languages did loan-translation.

Actually in #1 "round" is a verb. I was thinking of something involving {satci}, but a number can be nalsatci je jibni without being rounded.

There is nothing 2-dimensional-circular about a "round" number even if many languages loan-translate the bad metaphor using that keyword (cukla of course is not synonymous with all meaning of "round", only the 2-dimension-circular meaning. "Row, row, row your boat is not a 'cukla selsanga'" either).

My best guess as to "cukla namcu" would be that it refers to a number related to 3.14159... There are very few other namcu that pertain to cukla in any consistent way.
