Rant follows. It probably has no useful content. Feel free to
skip.
If there is, it won't be run by me. You guys are being handed a
great event on a platter, and if those of you who made it to VA
can't get off your asses and take an 8 hour bus ride (the distance
from Fairfax, VA to Troy, MI), I'm not willing to put in the huge
amount of effort to set something up. I have to *fly* there, FFS;
why should I put in the effort to set it up when people aren't
willing to put in a tiny portion of the effort I have to go to just
to *get there*?
