There WAS consensus, but it was not written down, and  Jorge has essentially
chalklenged what we have never written.
 
The contradiuction may be between what JCB set forth as the fundamental
design goal - metaphysical minimalism - and what he decided was the
essential minimum in metaphysical assumptions necessary to support
predicate calculus, vs. what we ACTUALLY may need.
 
I think the answers will be simple, but am afraid thhat they will have impact
on usage and may invalidate miscellaneous old texts.
