Clarification of ambiguities is a perfectly acceptable thing to do
in errata.  If the book /were/ clear on the issue one way or another,
I wouldn't suggest changing it.  But the fact is that it is not only
unclear, but it seems to imply the interpretation I am suggesting we
make explicit.  So I'm not aruging for a "substantive change", only
that we be explicit where we have been unclear.
