I always prefer to see such exercises in "guess the meaning" to include the
word used in a sentence, so as to provide some minimal context.  As people
who have played the "Phone Game" (aka "whisper down the line") with alternat
ing
Lojban and English, even providing such context is not always enough, b
ut
it helps.

Of course so
me beginners may be unsure hgow to use the word in a sentence,
but if they are willing to try, it nmakes the learning exercise doubly
effective.
