I believe that the lists of cmavo, gismu, and rafsi on the ftp site
would be an excellent place to start with this.  It has most of the
currently used gismu, with their place names, and usually a long list of
english "meanings".  You might want to move the stuff around a little,
and add a more complete list of synonyms, but it should serve your
purposes in a pinch.
