Cultural words are among the least culturally
neutral parts of the language, not by design
of course, but that's how it is. I remember
being surprized by many of the cultural gismu
choices when I started to learn the language too.
I was happy to find that there was a word for
Argentinian, but even so it seemed to me very
arbitrary. I expect this situation will change
when and if the composition of Lojbanists becomes
more culturally heterogeneous.

I think {kra'ibe} is a good fu'ivla for Caribbean.
I prefer that one to {kraibe},which would have the
stress on the diphthong "ai", and so it is less
recognizable.

But don't worry too much about it. Some people
have used unofficial gismu before for nationalities
that were not included, like xorvo for Croatian,
norgo for Norwegian, talno for Italian and turko
for Turkish. You could use krabo or kribo for
Caribbean if you feel the need. (karbo would clash
with the already existing karbi). Lojban first
and foremost belongs to its users, so if you become
a user you will have a big say on its evolution.
