It took me quite some time to go through the comments and
corrections to my last post.  So, in order to keep going
but at the same time reduce this (for myself) to bite-size
pieces, here is the next "verse" from Mark, first in English
then in Lojban.  I thought ".io'uanes." closer to the Greek
than "djan."  The initial "and so" refers to a prediction from
Isaiah about a herald in the desert.

And so John came, baptizing in the desert region and preaching a

baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins.
