None of the above. The exact details are proprietary, but in general
they try to find "authorities" (pages which have many external links to them)
and "hubs" (pages which contain many external links) and weight pages by their
closeness (in link terms) to hubs and authorities.
Clicks, at all events, cannot be counted by search engines, since
typical sites do not expose their access logs.
