In your culture, maybe. In mine, whoever
said "credo quia absurdum" would qualify,
and then I've met some of those people, sometimes.

Anyway, there are awful lots of people who would 
cheerfully say that others believe anything or
something in an utter abscence of evidence, which
would make that useful, and btw don't put me between
quotes: as a non-native English speaker I might as
well be allowed a slip from time to time as long as
you understand what I meant.
