Using a gismu beginning with "la" as a name is perfectly legal. Dropping 
its last letter and using it as a cmevla is not. The only one that I see 
is likely to cause a problem is {lalxu}. I see a few ways to name lakes:
la balyton.lelx.
la balyton.alx.
la balyton.lylx.
and the same with {balyton} last. (It's in Hungary.)
