Well, there is a "Lojban for Beginners" course: http://ptolemy.tlg.uci.edu/~opoudjis/lojbanbrochure/lessons/book1.html ; that could work as a starting point.

I was wondering what the position on creating a book to comprehensively teach lojban, and maybe some of the history/ideas behind it was. I know we have What is Lojban? and also the formal reference grammar, but "what is..." seems introductory, and Formal Reference has admitted that it wasn't intended to educate.
