[lojban] New learner says, "Hi"

New learner says, "Hi"

Author: Leon

Hi :)
I'm a new learner of lojban. I came across it bizarrely enough here: [http://emailsfromcrazypeople.com/2009/11/15/me-i-speak-lohan/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+EFCP+(Emails+From+Crazy+People)|emails from crazy people]

hehe!

So I ran a quick search and found the concepts of the language intriguing, especially since I have an interest in computers and programming. I've been looking for a project to get into that hasn't already been done by about a gazillion other programmers. So I hope to contribute some online tools for the language sometime in the near future.

Out of general curiosity I was wondering if anyone has tried speech recognition in lojban? I have recently been involved in the testing side of a project where native speakers from various different countries have had to verbally communicate/interact with software. The results were quite interesting. Some languages were very successful while some were not so.
Maybe one day I could try and program something like that. How cool would that be? :P
