It's bad that I've lost my editing after I pushed the "post" button. Here's my reply to post 2.

I choose JAVA because it goes thought platforms. Different people using different OSes can take a part. If you have more effective solution while not decreases the number of participators,such as hybrid programming with prolog, you may post it on wave.(david290@googlewave.com) 

I adopt the idea of child-machine, what about you? In my opinion, a child-machine must learn in certain environment. A stand-alone core means null. That's why the 3D world is first(only in the meaning of time, not importance) to develop.
