That's a good point. Yes, {ybu} as a separate word (of selmaho BY)
makes sense.

Not that much. {y} and {y'y} are already exceptional words each in 
a class of their own, they are the only words in the language
that begin with y, so having a third one {ybu} would not be such 
a big deal. The slight complication in morphology would
be compensated by the great simplification in syntax. 
{y} becomes transparent to everything, and {ybu} is just
another member of an already existing selma'o.
