For what it is worth, i converted the RTF version of LFB into a special pdf. along with the cover i designed, this pdf is designed to be print-ready for a print-on-demand book machine, like the one found on campus at the BYU bookstore (http://www.ondemandbooks.com/home.htm). i now own two nicely printed copies of lojban for beginners (with xorlo as an appendix). i can make the pdf available if anyone cares. i could conceivably do some prints and send them to the LLG as well. each print is under 20 dollars to make, if i remember correctly.
books are so much easier to read in paper than on screen.
I am almost done doing the same thing with the major lojban word lists, so that a core vocab dictionary (the essence of the language, not the various lujvo which can be constructed therefrom) can be printed into a mini dictionary. it is a pretty nice format, and when finals finish in 2 weeks i will finish it and print myself a copy, because i hate having to use a file online to read or translate.
are either of these projects of any value to the community? I use them either way.
