The thing is that when we talk about syntactic word classes there's
hardly ever a reason to exclude CMENE and BRIVLA. So we have a word
with a relatively useless restriction and a frequent meaning that is
almost covered by that word, and the result is that the restricted
word takes on that slightly more encompassing meaning.
