It could, but I vary the pronunciation of the "rr" depending on what language 
I'm speaking, and "r" in Lojban stands for any of several rhotics, though the 
way I pronounce it is usually a tap or trill.

Even more off-topic: Armenian appears to distinguish not only a tap from a 
trill (as does Spanish between vowels), but also a double tap from both a 
single tap and a trill.
