Well there's a very low success rate in starting any kind of forum in
any language.  It's just way easier to start a forum than to
continually stoke it, and there are lots of things competing for our
attention.

I think you'll be surprised, though.  Things have changed a lot in
Lojbanistan lately.  There was that wave that came in from XKCD such
as I believe our dear friend .cmacis., but then more recently there's
been an even larger wave of successful students due to the new method
and culture of teaching that's developed on IRC thanks to the great
work of teachers like la .kribacr. and la .lindar. and la xalbo.

And while I'm biased of course towards my own idea, I do think it's a
good strategy for avoiding some of the main ways that conversations in
Lojban are derailed, and some people do seem to agree.

We already have 9 members and 9 messages!  So we're off to a good start. :)
