Re: [lojban] brabaktu

also, it occurs to me that this is really more generic of a lujvo than "swimming pool" in the sense that I was originally thinking of the concrete man-made structures filled with chlorine and such.

It seems like limli'a is good enough as a generic word for meaning "swimming body-of-water".  But if one wanted to specifically refer to a man-made structure they would need to be more specific with something like {zbalimli'a} for a made swimming pool vs {rarlimli'a} for a swimming hole or what-have-you).

I like this idea of using few pieces lujvo to make more generic words and making the more specific lujvo tend to be made up of more pieces.

hmm, is there really a need for a location when we have stuzi, diklo, etc... for instance, {dinju} seems like it is similar to limli'a in how important it's location is, and {dinju} does not have a place for "located at".

Liking all the rest of your suggestions, I come up with:

la1 is a pool where li1 swims in fluid li2

la2 is the location, not the material. The fluid is normally water, so that
can be put last. So I suggest
la1 is a pool at location la2 where li1 swims in fluid li2.

Arnt Richard Johansen entered it. That may not mean that he invented it.
