What was not working about jbofihe?  I use it daily, having taken
the source code from here:

  http://packages.debian.org/sid/jbofihe

Note that I take the source code from here when I'm not working on a
debian system.  I install the debian package if I'm on debian.  Can
you be more specific about what you did?
