But but but - isn't it how you are suppoed to understand Lojban from hearing? A constant stream of phonemes, some stressed, some not? Does that mean that speaking Lojban is an annoying pratice? ;)

That was lokadin's argument, IIRC. My answer is no, but writing conventions and speech are not the same thing.
