Yea it seems to me that there's probably another tool/site that can be used to make this much more efficient. Btw, I just tried editing the Google document, and I didn't have the proper permissions.
1) If the idea is just to aggregate news for/by lojbanists
- Editing: we could use status.net (or closed-source twitter), and then
- Reading: aggregate all the feeds on a webpage (some code required)
2) But this sounds really similar to just starting multi-user blog, i.e. blogger, wordpress etc.
- Editing: people request to be added as authors, authors could edit one another's text
-
Viewing: just visit the prepackaged URL
3) Or if we want to appear like a social network, we could use any of Ning (closed source),
grou.ps (open) or buddypress (open) for a no-coding-necessary "social network in a box."
4) OR! (wait for it) ...Just use the tiki!
I think it would be cool to try out one of the social networky options listed in 3) above --particularly the open source ones. If anyone else shares the interest, it might be fun to try a 'jefnuz' out on each one out and review them as a group.
