Re: [lojban] Summary table of discourse indicators

Nice, since these buggers give me more trouble than just about anything else.
BUT There is little (no?) indication of the various semantic and pragmatic
ro9les that these indicators play. Some of them are just passing comments on
the attached sentences, some of them change the role of those sentences (move
them off the purely factual into the directive or performative or subjunctive
role), some just mark places, some give warnings about reliability, and so on.
These, perhaps more than the putative meanings of the expressions, are what we
need to know about them. Admittedly, there is still some controversy about the
exact role of some of these, but most could be pretty neatly put to rest, I
hope. Not that I want to be the one to do it.

New version on the cheat sheets page:
http://www.lojban.org/tiki/tiki-index.php?page=jbo_cheat_sheet

I've posted three versions: 1 page (for example to print it A0 and
hang on your wall :) ), 2 pages (front back landscape) and 4 pages
(possibly to print as a booklet).

I've checked and it seems I've no control over the mime/type of wiki
attachements. Does any one else has problems while opening PDF files?

About {ze'ei}, jbovlaste says that it works like {zei} but has the
grammar of the right valsi and the semantic of the first. Not sure how
it is supposed to be used.

The other experimental cmavo seems very reasonable (especially
{fu'au}). I have some reserve for the "replacement" cmavo but I don't
like {si} and friends too, so I might be biased.

Hope you find it of some help.

As always the OpenOffice files are attached for those wanting to
add/change them.

Remo.
