[lojban] Re: CAPL
This sounds like a great idea. Ironically, I was actually just
searching for a project like this to go with my flashcards, and
couldn't find anything good. Then I was reading this list, and found
this!
I agree that we should probably start our own project for this.
Because CAPL's images are CC licensed, we could probably use some of
them. However, I see no reason to make such a project Lojban-centric.
It could just as easily be used for someone learning any other
language. Personally, I'd be interested in using it for my study of
Chinese.
It would definitely have to be moderated though. I'm thinking that
after a user has posted five or so images that have been reviewed by
the moderators, they wouldn't need to wait for that. If at any time
they post something inappropriate, they would immediately be banned.
I think the system could be set up somewhat like Tatoeba. Anyone could
post a word in any language or a picture. Each word could be linked to
any number of pictures, and each picture could be linked to any number
of words.
