Yes. If you say "mi tavla je citka", then you're talking to what you're 
eating; if you say "mi tavla gi'e citka", you're talking to someone and 
eating something, not implying that they are the same. You can also put a 
sumti between "tavla" and "gi'e". You can identify x3 of "tavla" with x2 
of "citka" by saying "mi tavla je setese citka do lo vanjba".
