If you honestly think you could have done this in an hour and a half
in MUMPS, I would be very happy to send you the source files I
started with, and if you can actually do it, to use you for any and
all text manipulation I have to do in the future.  I could probably
manage decently generous contracting rates.

If this was just humour, that's fine too.  :)
