You are welcome to do so (but give us warning). Where do you live?

meeting him, and saying "coi lojbab .i ioro'a do finti la lojban .i lo

in my car and driving back for 1-2 hous. Cause I have a feeling
that's pretty much how it would go.

If you are interested, I'm sure we could tackle something meatier in the translation department.

I don't know if we are up to it this year, but there is nothing wrong with holding Lojban gatherings in multiple locations (whether we call them all "LogFest" or something else). Obviously, we cannot expect everyone to attend all of them, though perhaps we could choose a common weekend and communicate electronically between them.

(Nora and I had been thinking about trying for Michigan this year if a LogFest were held there. SF is a bit harder in requiring a plane flight and a good deal more money, and I'm not sure how well I would travel by plane these days, but most of my family is there.)

If something is held in SF, I would suggest to Robin that he (or someone) use our address list to generate mailing labels, and have someone send postcards to people on the list in CA. There were a hundred odd people in SF back when I was maintaining the mailing list, and another several dozen in LA. Not everyone actively monitors the online lists, and the last time I did an event in SF (a class), I think we had close to 20 people with minimal promotion.
