I've worked with this site a fair bit today.
Pros:
* It's much more than a dictionary. We get a lot of stuff for
free. It's (trying to be) part of mediawiki's Semantic Wiki
software ecosystem.
* The above is actually helpful for me in writing definitions.
* It's fun to use, more fun that jbovlaste in my subjective
experience.
Cons:
* It's slow. This is not only my subjective experience but a topic
of discussion under "Taboo subjects" on the site talk page.
* It's much more than a dictionary. There is a lot of stuff in the
way of writing definitions. This means there isn't one screen to
attach all of the required data (word type, definition, &c) but
several. As well, getting the full definition
* It doesn't have voting, only discussion. This usage differs from
jbovlaste.
* The community is very small. I finally managed to raise someone
on IRC today but the channel has been quiet all day. Two different
developers have granted permission to various parts of the website,
however.
In order to do any sort of bulk-upload, we'd have to map Lojban
words to OmegaWiki defined meanings. There isn't any way to do a
bulk upload without first pre-processing the data and associating
defined meanings. That probably represents a fair amount of work.
