I watched a talk by Stuart Halloway titled "Simplicity Ain't Easy."
In the talk, he unboxes what people (programmers, really) mean when
they say "simple."
It's a fascinating video: he starts with a tour of outrageously
contradictory quotes on the topic, works up to a formal definition,
and then discusses how that definition was used in designing
Clojure.
