I don't think I ever knew the algorithms for deriving words (note that selecting the words for input is an uncontrolled factor).
Actually, a priori gismu generation shouldn't be too bad, since they have to fit into fairly narrow areas (phonotactic rules , CC in the first 4 letters, end in a vowel).  I have tried it, but a couple of people have used http://wordgenerator.wakayos.com/Default.aspx?wordo=tokiponaV2.wordo.  This version is set up for toki pona, but all the tools are there to work on your own system.

I'm aware of Lojban's multi-language origins, but just saying that it used 'algorithms' isn't enough. The rest of your post says clearly that it was so complex for 'normal' available word generation software or -to explain in a post for that matter-. For priori languages however, do you know of a good offline pattern based word generator?
