what "le" is thought of as? My understanding of "le" is that you must
have an actual broda in mind. I don't know the technical definitions,
but that sounds like it could be thought of as an "instance" to me.

No -- firstly because "le broda" points to a specific thing, but not necessarily to an actual broda, hence its equivalence to "lo co'e voi broda", where co'e gives the specificity and voi gives the nonveridicality (the not necessarily actually being broda); and secondly because in the types-only model, everything that is an actual broda is a type.

But one can be hopeful that Martin can outline for lVi an instance-only semantics, which perhaps the BPFK might consider.
