ok,
I don't think that would be such a probably risk. I think there's a much higher risk for murder if you engage in a romantic relationship, and then being murdered by someone you know when the relationships are about to end. Statistically. Not to mention the risk to die in a car accident.
Anyway, I'm rather deliberately naîve and hospitable than afraid and suspicious against every stranger. And the strategy to first learn lojban to get closer to your victim seems like an odd murder strategy to me.

  Sorry, don't consider it nonsense (hence the zo'onai).  I don't think it's a good idea to just accept invitations from people you don't know to sleep in their houses.  True, the vast majority will be totally innocuous, but there have been plenty of murderers who work that way, from Harry Powers right on up to the Craigslist Killers.  No, thank you.
