make clean ; make pdf_web 

This takes 30+ minutes on my box; For a smaller, *MUCH* faster run:

make clean ; make chapters="-t chapters/2.xml" pdf_web

I have no idea what is available on BSD; the requirements in the
README should be fairly current, but setting it all up took many
hours; you'd be much better off getting an account on vrici from me
and doing it there.
