Lindar,selpa'i, vitno and I have started a channel exactly for that on freenode, #jbosub (lojban-diving; lujvocme ;) )
We're working on simple stuff to get started, but we're compiling a list of films/series to subtitle.
We have The Lord of the Rings in mind for a remote future project.
We're open to any suggestions and newcomers for help.
It's important to promote Lojban media.

While we're on the topic, somebody should pick a fun film and subtitle it in Lojban.
Perhaps take it a step further and fan-dub it?
