In short: yes, but I also have a parcel of my own nearby. The land
ownership in the Chilbo community is a bit complicated: there is a
community land, owned by a community staff (mostly parks, walking
paths, also a museum and a town hall), a land owned by big land
owners, who are leasing it to other people, and some land owned by
small land owners by them own. I have both my own parcels, and rent a
parcel with building for the Loglan Institute.

Therefore I suggest not to rent a land, but to build our own. If you
are willing to give your 512m tier to Lojban community, and I will
give my 512m parcel (already reserved for this purpose), then we have
1024m in total (plus 10% of group bonus), which is quite enough for
start. And we are not to pay more than we are already doing. (I myself
am not able to pay for my SL activity more than I already do, but, on
the other hand, I have no pressure to reduce my payments; so, these
512m are already there and paid; if you have the same situation with
your 512m tier, then the problem is solved. If you agree with this
plan (to join our tiers and create a 1024m parcel near the Loglan
Institute), I'll mail you the details (and/or send you a notecard
inworld).
