[lojban] Directional facing (xorxes, please read).

So I'm noticing that it's really hard to say "I'm facing north", and
I'd like some brainstorming.  Further notes below after I ask xorxes
a question about his solution.

xorxes:

you did http://jbovlaste.lojban.org/dict/selfa'a , which I
do not grok at all.

{le berti cu farna le plise mi} means "the apple is to my north",
not "the apple is oriented towards the north", as your {selfa'a}
would seem to indicate.

Was it your intent that {farna} and {selfa'a} be semantically
distinct?  If not, can you explain your interpretation in terms of
{farna}?

brainstorming:

To start off the brainstorming, I'll suggest a place structure:

x1 is pointing/oriented towards x2 as judged by using part x3 ; x3
is the x2 most part of x1

i.e. {mi broda le berti le flira} for "I am facing north", but {mi
broda le berti le jamfu} for "my feet are pointing north"; obviously
x3 would usually be zo'e

If this isn't decomposable from current gismu (i.e. if there's not
an obvious lujvo), this seems worth a gismu to me.
